Grammar note (ㅅ irregular): ㅅ-irregular verbs end in 다 with a ㅅ final consonant. Before a vowel suffix the ㅅ drops entirely, leaving no consonant. 짓다 (to build) becomes 지어요 — NOT *짓어요.
